Formostar© Infrared Body Wraps
Have you ever found yourself looking in the mirror and not liking what you see? Of course, we all have at one time or another. Have you ever found yourself dreading starting an exercise program because you know it will take weeks to see results? Well, with Gloria’s Good Health, we can help you create the exercise and eating program that you need. We have a specialized Zone Diet Instructor, Dee Meyer, who can make eating easy, and we have a trained staff to help you find the perfect supplement.
What about the exercise part? Has Gloria’s opened a GYM, you ask? No, what we have is better, more efficient and much more enjoyable than the gym.
We have the Infrared Body Wrap System by Formostar®. These wraps are like no other. They don’t involve messy mud or clay or herbs designed to “draw” out the toxins, What these wraps do is actually raise your body’s temperature, raise your heart rate and make you sweat like an NBA star. How does it do this?
First we have to understand what Infrared Heat really is. Infrared heat is also called “radiant energy” and it is NOTHING like ultraviolet energy or nuclear energy. Radiant energy absorbs quickly. It is the same energy that comes from the sun. Have you ever been outside on a sunny spring day and felt quite comfortable when suddenly the sun was obscured by a cloud? Although the air temperature had not had time to drop, you felt chilled, as the cloud would not let the warming infrared rays through to reach you. By the same effect, have you ever noticed how being in the sun warms you to your bones? The Infrared Body wrap is the same. A lot of our clients say they felt it in their bones.
Now how does all this help you lose weight? It does this in three ways. First, it promotes circulation through the deep layers of fat. Most doctors will agree that cellulite is very different than just body fat. It is hard, bumpy and has no circulation to remove toxins or to promote fat loss. The infrared heat assists with this. It can actually penetrate down to the cellulite and “liquefy” it. When blood is circulating through the tough visceral fat, it is better able to break down, enter back into the body where it can be used up as calories.
This is where the second part comes in. The heat from the Infrared Wrap causes your body to heat up, where the heart-rate increases in an effort to decrease the body temperature. That increase in heart-rate burns calories. It can burn up to 1200 calories per hour to be exact.
The third part is the less scientific, less glamorous way. Sweat. Good, old fashioned sweat. Somewhere around 90 percent of the people receiving a wrap will sweat enough to leave behind a puddle. More and more we hear “I don’t think I’ve ever sweated that much”. Sweat does two things, it cools the skin temperature and it reduced fluid in the body. For most overweight people this is a good thing as edema is a constant problem. There is also the detoxification factor from sweat. Our skin is our largest organ and its main function is detoxification. It stands to reason that through sweat, toxins are washed away.
Just to name a few of the other benefits of Infrared Heat:
J Increased collagen production (better skin quality)
J Reduction of scars including stretch marks
J Reduction of muscle spasm
J Reduction of joint pain and/or stiffness
J Reduction of stress
People with heart disease or who may be pregnant should definitely not do body wraps. If you have any other health concerns or questions, please feel free to call our store and ask.
